Arm Lift

What is Arm Lift Surgery?

It is a procedure used to get rid of excess skin in the arms to get a tighter and more youthful look by getting rid of the wrinkles and unwanted excess skin.

Are You A Candidate for Arm Lift Surgery?

Dr. Tamim will evaluate you in the beginning to determine your eligibility and come up with a treatment plan that fits your needs. It is typically for men and women who had massive weight loss, or after significant liposuction to the arms, or those who have loose skin due to aging.

Surgical Technique

The procedure is done under general anesthesia in one of our operating rooms.  An incision extends from the elbow to the armpit, and the excess skin is excised after doing some liposuction to remove any excess fat as well. Then, a drain is typically placed in the arm for about a week. Closure is done with resorbable sutures.

What to Expect

You are expected to have some swelling, bruising, and soreness after the procedure. And you will have to wear a compression sleeve to minimize the post-operative swelling and expedite the healing process for at least the first few weeks with arm elevation. In general, you will see 80% of your final results within the first 6 weeks.
